The clutch pedal on my `04 TJ is about 1 1/2 inches higher than the brake pedal. On my YJ, the brake and clutch pedals are the same height. Is this a new 'feature', or does something need to be adjusted on my TJ.
TIA

The YJ's clutch is 1 1/2" more worn out than the TJ's.

LOL..too bad those pesky hydraulic systems are "self adjusting..."
I am pretty sure that was a joke Tony...my 98 pedals are the same...not that I have taken a ruler to them or anything....
When they added power brakes to the CJ's.
If you have standard brakes the two pedals sit the same height, if you have power brakes, the brake pedal is way lower than the clutch pedal.

My `88 YJ (w/power brakes) are the same hight and sit close together, but my `04 has the clutch 1.5 in higher than the brake (and not too close together).
So, is this someth>When they added power brakes to the CJ's.
On my 86 CJ7, the clutch pedal sits radically higher than the brake pedal. I have seen an 85 CJ7 with standard brakes and the pedals are the same height.
