I have a '92 eagle talon TSi. Is the plug on it ODBII compatable. either way, is there a descent priced reader out there that i can plug in to read the codes?

Not ODBII. Get a $15 analog volt meter, or even cheaper, a 12v LED and

2x50cm pieces of 26g wire (perhaps $4). You connect the LED ( or voltmeter ) to the diagonally opposite pins on the diagnostic connector. Any error codes read out as a series of long and short pulses. eg L L L L S S S == 43. There's a long pause between codes.

the plug for the eagle talon is NOT OBD-II compliant because OBD-II was adopted in late 1995.

You'll have to go and get a Haynes or chilton's manual and see what you need to jumper to get the code light to flash.

and get a logger for the OBD I. You have one very good thing on that and that is that you can tune the car in by knock wich is not possible on the OBD II cars ( 95 +)
