i see bubbles in my radiator water from the top, is the head gasket gone? the car over heated for about 5 mnts i think, due to one of the fans not working, it took about 2.5 ltrs of water? if so, any d.i.y guides for replacing the gasket? thanks in advance. mtnk.

If you've warped your head, a simple gasket replacement won't fix it. It shouldn't cost too much to get a professional opinion and estimate.
I once had a little car that burned too much oil for the local regulations, and I decided that the valve guides needed to be replaced. I removed the head and took it to a machine shop to get the head set up, and put it back on when it was done. Saved a lot of money that way.
You'll need a manual to do the R&R, but you should probably be able to find a recommendation for a good one.
