As soon as you say 'you' the argument fails. You need to know the numbers of drivers under 25 and the numbers over 25. Then you can work out the percentages so you can accurately say 'you'll be twice as likely' etc.

However, I think you'll find the insurance companies have already done the sums...

there are 22 million holders of driving licenses in this country how many people drive who are under 25? how many of them are over 25? i would suggest that there are a fiar proportion of them OVER that age if it was broken down into length of license held it would be much different

I'm sort of thinking that you know just how much effort would be involved if you shepherded pedestrians to designated crossings on every road. Not every pedestrian is young and fit - indeed many are old, and why should they have to expend the effort to walk much further in perhaps the pouring rain just to make life easier for speeding motorists?
