Decision time...

Surely if it's a need rather than a perk, then you shouldn't get taxed on it at all - it'll be basically a pool car in effect, no?

If you've got a car that can get you to and from work, then can't you just ask them to provide a pool car?

They aren't bad. Have all the benefits that come with a VW, but on a bigger floorpan and huge boot (you could fit the kiddy, and the other half, along with the pushchair in).

If you really do want stupid space, look at the Superb instead of the Octavia.

There are 7x13" popping up all the time on euro ebay auctions theo, grab a set while the euro is weak if I were you! I want some 8x15s though :( but the 7x13s will look ace on a scirocco with their smaller arches.

There is no place for 13's anywhere - except on Mini's and equally small things.

Please don't agree with me - it makes me look wrong ;-)

Yes, yes, yes.... go put some 20" spinners or sommit on your pug eh ;)

Reply to

I don't like spinners.

And 20's require too much work on a 206. I'd stick with 18s.

Um... well... ok... what ever floats your boat dan...

I'm not deluded into thinking its something its not ;-). It'll never be a really fast track car - so it may as well look spiffy,

Well half decent 18s cost about £1k new with tyres, sell the 206 + £1k = something fast & spiffy!

Will whatever it is come with 3 years free insurance/RAC cover/servicing and warranty :-) ?

I actually saw some Team Dynamics 18's in Halfords/Ripspeed the other day (was with a mate and his birds little brother buying a bike...) for £699. i was quite tempted.

Wouldn't the 18s infringe on the terms and conditions?

I said "half decent"!
