Top three reasons I can think of:
- it's petrol and not diesel
- it's a big, heavy, lots-of-drivetrain-friction coupe
- it's expensive
- it'll be impossible to keep clean
- it shares its gene pool with the 1.0 Micra or March
Against this:
- as I understand, it needs fettling to be "proper quick," but this depends on your perspective.
"Unaltered from factory other than minor sensible upgrades" - what does that mean? Lowered, aie, but, the rest of it..?

Yep. All second hand cars. Funnily enough new cars are cheaper. A Monaro is much cheaper here. But not as cheap as it is in the States.

R32s are getting too old and R34s are still way too expensive. : (
