Are you suggesting that I don't legitimately have this name ?

But "Alfa Romeo" was and is the slightly upmarket "sporty" version of Fiat with Lancia as being the more "luxury but still sporty" end.
Heh!
My 8v 1.3 VW puts out more than 100bhp in stock form.
and nothing whatsoever to do with alfa's 155 winning the btcc in the mid ninetyies either eh :)
Erm, no.
For a start, the BTCC car was based on the 1.8 non-VVT engine, and it was only possible because Alfa got around the aerodynamic aids rule by launching the limited edition 'Silverstone' with adjustable wings / spoilers etc.
Besides, the Sierra was *the* most prominent BTCC racer of all time.
i know :) but you said that your car wasn't in the least bit sporty while i made no such claims :)
the twins are currently hibernating possibly ready for an early awakening at ford fair :)
Heh he lacks the knowledge to come back.
The Sierra isn't exactly heavy, I'll wager that a current generation Astra
1.6 is heavier than a Sierra 2.0! :)SteveH ( snipped-for-privacy@italiancar.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
They were hardly alone in that little scam, though, IIRC
And there is the issue of torque...
Have you seen the torque curve of the 1.6i-16 donk used in the Astra?
It's lovely.
Mind you, some of the torque curves I saw at the Ford Sierra rolling road were Endura-E worthy. Near flat from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm. :)
Very possiby. But the Zetec engine won't be gobbling head gaskets and throwing belts...ever.
Ta, G.
Supercharging - that's cheating.
Ta, G.
Nah not really. Lots of low down torque. I've only ever driven a G40 once; it was enough to want one...
Pity they're not in GT4, eh?
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Rob" saying something like:
What a load of unmitigated bollocks you spout.
Are you on a mission to spout the most stupid bollocks on usenet? There's some stiff competition, but you're definitely in the running.
Pah, my current 0.6 16v puts out 95 in stock form, and is N/A.
