I moved into this house in 2001 and was the first time I got broadband (NTL's 64K at £5 a month, but I was getting 512K... Did I tell 'em?). Oddly, in my old house in Middlesbrough I never bothered with Usenet, when I was on dialup.

I still had my Nova SR...

I was first here 2001 I think. Not long after broadband arrived too. Had just bought a 120L estelle, was still learning to drive as an old=20 fart. Now on my 6th car due to boredom, and may thinkabout a change=20 depending on how expensive the MOT is this year. Pay what I need to get=20 it passed, but decide whether next year will be too pricey for a utility=20 car.

In news:BETah.63464$ snipped-for-privacy@newsfe3-gui.ntli.net, Rob wittered on forthwith;

I'm a newbie. I've been irritating the denizens of URCM since 2002. Just before that Ellesmere Port thing where I was pretty comprehensively blanked by all bar Ronny and AshtrayVanMan :-)

It is Ronny with the Howdi and the west country accent innit?

WAS ^W IS :-)

No it was about someone wanting to paint the brake drums / hubs. Would have been followed by the trials of owing a French Lemon 1.6BX.

but seeing as how you mention it... I've been in motoring heaven since May 2000.

Can't see how anyone can be posting before this in May 99.
