Integrale

After about a year i've finally bit the bullet and decided to pay someone to fix the lancia. I've enough work to do with the 19 without attepting to rebuild an engine i'm not familiar with.

A mate of mine who specialises in performance cars is taking it in and agreed to do the work at a very reasonable price. I'll be dropping it down tonight so fingers crossed it won't be too long before i have it back.

I'm a little excited :D

Sleeker, you comin over to play rally cars? :)

My friend had an HF 4X4 for a while and he took me on some twisties. He'd made himselfe a little route for blasting his lancia along and his best time was 1 minute 12 seconds. In the dry.

He managed the same route, with me on board, in the wet in 1 minute 12 seconds while demonstrating the car to me.

He was supposed to be going easy a) to protect me and b) as it was wet

Fantastic, fantastic handling and roadholding. Prepared me for the many brown trouser moments on the epic drive to Budapest later that night.

My friend found his to be very reliable but it wasn't an Integrale it was its predecessor, an HF 4x4 with 165BHP and no flared wheelarches.

In news:Mb1ve.1633$ snipped-for-privacy@news.indigo.ie, Chet decided to enlighten our sheltered souls with a rant as follows

Heh, as an ex owner of two Integrales, I doubt it.

However, an Integrale Evo 2 is still on my "will buy" list.
