Doesn't really feel super different, but then a 406 doesn't really feel quick (gone from 110 to 135ish). However, 50-70 seems to have dropped from weeks to somewhere around 5-6 seconds, depending on whether it's 50-70 from trundling or having already floored it at 45. I'll get my datalogger thingy out and see what it reckons.

It's amazing how much difference it makes when the headline difference is only 25bhp isn't it?
Yup, and that's only a maximum power difference. In relative terms, it could be producing lots more lower down in the rev range.
not bad, I got 3.5secs from a stock D reg saab turbo...which always pissed off TD drivers...
My Mondy V6 about 4.0. My merc 190 is the slowest taking 4.6.....
I always find 30-70 or 50-70 a more realistic test than 0-60.....
Which engine? The 2.5 or the 3.0? My parents have a previous shape, 2002
2.5 V6 manual GhiaX and it takes about a day. It's in fine fettle, serviced regulary etc - but it's a long way from a quick car - 50 to 70 probably takes about 2 days hehe.Join the Discussion
