My weekends work

OK, its not the best job in the job - the paint doesnt match, the filling isnt flat, a bit of the paint is runny. But bollocks to perfection - its only gonna get chucked down some country lanes, and its better than it was!

Not picking holes (haha, excellent play on words there, eh ;-) ), but the front valance looks like it still has the same rot bubbling up.

Won't take long for it to come back through again, unfortunately.

How does one acheive a rusty roof?!

You buy a Japanese rotbox ;-)

The serious bit of rust on it was patched up. But i'm half expecting for it to get mangled on the first event so I just did the worst bit and left the rest. Its not hard to pick a new one up anyway. Same with the wings - it would have been easy enough to spray a couple of new ones up, but i figured that was a bit pointless if i then go out and bend them!

It should be ok. PLenty of anti rust primer, plenty of paint and laquer on the outside, and plenty of hammerite and waxoil on the otherside.

God knows. I blame the last owner :)

How could you tell that from the crappy pics anyway? Sure its not my dodgy filling?

Look at the 'before' pics, and the general bubbling of the rot on that OSF corner... and then look at the admittedly more blurry after pics - the same profile of bubbling on the wheel side of the valance, is apparent.

it was a tiny penny size rust bit when i got the car, i'm clueless too, i mean the gap is well hard to get to let along get a scratch or something to start rust lol

looking good carl! i mean my plan for it was to a) sell it or b) blow it up at santa pod :)

I remember when I sprayed a bit on the Ka. And I realised that it's quite handy to mask pretty much the entire car. :D

I think thats actual my dodgy non-flat filling, as there was much metal if you're looking at the bit i think you're looking at
