Remember, the GT40 was British. Not American like they want you to believe.

Although lots of it was built by Holman and Moody in Virginia, the GT40 was indeed a Brit, which is why the proper original ones were RHD.
I bet you wouldn't find it gutless, even if higher peak bhp per cc is clearly possible.
