OT:Bulldog 4mb - sleeker

First week after activation was a nightmare. First it wouldn't synch at 4meg, then it synched at 3.5, but the phone died. by the end of the second week, I had lost both because it went back to trying to synch at 4meg.

Then I bought a Zoom PCI modem instead of the green BT frog. Worked great after that. The ADSL connected and worked fine at 4meg.

Then the phone came back on and has been fantastic since. Only downside I've noticed with the phone is it is a little bit echoing. But, you do get caller ID and voice mail.

I like it. They are crap with their billing though. Got an email, end of april to say the April's bill had been delayed and would be processed mid May. Then Mid may, got another to say that it would be delayed again, and I would get a joint April/May bill at end of May.

Just waiting for the next delay email ;) Online billing says I don't have permission to view current bill status.

LOL - pretty good then. I have an adsl router so if it causes those kind of problems i'll be sulking. Oh well i'll know soon enough, they said about a month to make the connection. Thanks.

Thats about how long it took, and you get your install date way before that.

BTW, Bulldog are about to start converting exhanges to 8meg, and you'll get the same price for as fast as your line can cope with.

that's great news :D. BT have kept this country in the telecom dark ages for the last 10-15 years imho.
