I got given an old skool 48K Spectrum yesterday, rubber keys and all. Haven't tested it yet, I don't have a TV lead, everything I have is SCART lol

Bah! the Commodore 64 made the Specky suck balls.
Heh, I had one of those too, when I was a kid, with the 1541 disk drive. That was a slow loading thing, till I got the Action Replay cartridge which sped the disk access times up.
And allowed you to disassemble the code etc...
The Commode didn't have a single decent game though, whereas the Spectrum had loads - and a soft-touch keyboard.
Didn't that make the expansion slot sticky?
Bah, Dragon 32, and it could do all the TRS80 color games, and speech without a hardware add on.
Elite was available on both - and of course on the BBC where it started.

I had one too.
I also had an Apricot PC Xi, and eventually an Apricot portable.
OOh, I had one of those, and before that a Sirius 1.
I think my list was:
PET Apple IIe Sirius ZX81 Atmos PC XT Mac SE/30 Mac IIfx Compaq 486sx PowerPC 601 .. numerous laptops
Of that lot only the SE/30 and the PPC 601 are currently in use, but they still work OK.
I had an Apricot Zen.
10meg hdd and a special version of Dos3 with an amber screen.
Yes it did (because I owned one) - but I had just as much fun on the C=64 as I did on the Spectrum...
