hmmm. The word "bollocks" springs to mind. They're fun and different if that's your thing, but they are, in the end, a s**te old skoda. My first motor was one and it was a right laugh, would like another as a toy but not as serious transport :-)

Hands off, that's mine (1).

(1) Or it would be if I had the cash for it.

They used to be less than 50 quid.

I bought an Estelle 120 once from the auctions, because it had 6 months tax on.

Best £10 bid I ever made, that. (+£25 indemnity, bastards)

Scrapped it within 15 minutes, got £30 for it from the scrap man, and £60 quid from the DVLA.

It's lovely. And well preserved, but I haven't got a grand. And being a 1 litre in a care the size of an Orion, and having metalwork=20 like the forth bridge, it will be fun but slow.

See what I mean about the last remaining 50 or so of each Estelle or=20 Rapid fetching silly money now. 5 years ago, Glass's guide stopped=20 listing them when the trade price dropped below =A35.

I knowthe guy selling. he bought it as a spares car to rebuild his 120LSE, but discovered it was much more solid than his LSE, so he is selling it instead. Bought it from a garage of a dead guy. Skoda owners are still realistic about the prices. It is the outside world that is now treating them as classics and stuffing them right up.

Where about (bet it is south). There is a Sport kitted 136 rapid near me that has had some welding done and a sport kit fitted.
