Dunno - depends what group it is. I was with them on the Carlton and they refused to insure me (I'm 23) on anything above group 14, and the Audi's group 16 apparently. Even though according to other insurers it's only group 14.

Try your current insurers? Then tell them you got cheaper quote elsewhere. I did this and they promptly knocked over £100 off the premium and didnt even ask for proof.
You're (only a bit) younger than me, trying to insure a car with quite some performance there, mid engined and RWD so not exactly foolproof handling, a desirable car to thieves AND it's an import.
I reckon £1200FC is pretty cheap. For a car like that, I'd be expecting quotes of over a grand.
