Wassis wurf then?

2000 "X" Golf GTi (not a fast one) 5dr. Red, 130k miles, needs a couple of minor cosmetic bits doing - door mirror cover / case (the mirror is there), odd small dent.

Drives fine, taxed and tested.

When you say 'not a fast one' - none of the Mk4's were particularly fast. The 180bhp 'Anniversary' edition was probably the closest you'll get.

Anyway, back to the point...

What engine is it? 2.0 NA or 150bhp 1.8T?

I'd forgotten they put the APK engine in a GTI. Wonder why they called it GTI... Probably the same reason the Bora Sport was so named: irony.

Not that I dislike it; I have a Bora Sport 2.0 myself. Just not even slightly sporty.

Doesn't have to be the Anniversary to get the 180bhp 1.8T engine. The Golf GTI 1.8T had 150 or 180bhp (from about 2002 I think).

Both Ford and Volkswagen have done it. In a way though, GTi doesn't * necessarily * mean it has to be quick. Just not woefully sluggish, like 1.0 Corsa style.

Try telling that to the 17 year old chavsters, with their big bore exhausts and big wheels. They will race anything.

Heh, it's red, and the seats are factory fitted.

The wheels, yeah, ok, they're /slightly/ pressed meat..

Did you guess it was me impersonating Ken all along, or did you think it was ken impersonating me?

I did try reduce the intellect suitably, but not sure if I succeeded.
