I've heard that the '91 (to '93?) front fenders provide more clearance for wide tires than those on my '89 GT. Any truth to this? What else is needed to complete the swap? What size tires seem to fit (I'm running 5-lug Cobra R 17x9 wheels)?

The fenderwells are indeed slightly larger in the area in front of the wheels from 91-93 with the inception of the 16" Pony wheel. This new fender and fender extension gives alittle more room to prevent rubbing on tight turns in the front fenderwell area.
