Just because it was replaced a year ago doesn't guarantee that it's not the pump.

Did you put in a a genuine Ford pump, or an aftermarket model? I've heard a few horror stories about the quality of some aftermarket pumps sold through certain autoparts chains.

the pump is a ford pump and not an aftermarket one.this just started happening this week when i was at 1/4 of a tank of fuel, then when i filled up,it wouldnt blow again until my fuel ran to 1/4 again.but when i filled up this morning,it blew after about 5 miles.

And with that I'll say it sounds like the pump is over heating. It's scary sounding but being immersed in gasoline keeps it cool.

Just by chance have you checked the wireing it self, coulf be a connection rubbing on body causing a short or maybe a bare wire along the frame. I'd do a continuity check on pump as well as the wiring. Hope this helps some..

This is really neat...... "it's this".... "it's that"..... without one single diagnostic step being performed...... Yep... there are a LOT of things it could be.... But without some sort of diagnostic process, someone will be doomed to changing parts until they find the bad part....

If the fuse blows regularly and predicatbly, there should be no problem finding the cause... but you do need to be smarter than the fuse.
