Tom - Is this what you do in your spare time? I thought that was your car.

Oh I love high-speed car chases... can't believe those cops were pulling so hard on that Mustang.. what kind was it? just a V6?

lol... nope, not me! Wrong car, wrong color, wrong year.

Plus, those big ol' Crown Vics would NEVER pull up to my as end that easily!

Oh yeah, if that was me I wouldn't be answering this post for a few years, if ya know what I mean.

Looks like a 6 with an ugly aftermarket wing - wheels look stock... But that was a NICE piece of driving! He took the two left-handed spins very well, but ran out of room when pushed to the right. I also take away points for the slow pass of the dumptruck, which allowed the cops to come up from behind.

And trying to run away in reverse.... whoo.

The OWNER of that vehicle is pretty much the same type of person that stole it from him. I have met him...he lives on the west side of Del City, and he likes to pimp his car on 39th every Saturday night.

I won't say I am glad it happened to him, but...at least it wasn't to a responsible person like me.

When the kid gets out of jail...he needs to head to Hollywood, or go to the OSU-OKC Police training facility and apply for a job with the driver training program.

So basically, one scumbag stole it from another scumbag?

Those were my thoughts exactly. To pull out of the first spin might have been luck. To pull out of the second, there's no doubt he knows what he's doing. To even attempt to back away from the cops at speed takes skill that most don't possess, and pulling a 180 and trying to taking off again, that takes talent.

I was a bit jealous. I can back up at speed (have had my Cobra in the 4500+ RPM range in reverse a few times, not a straight line either) and pull out of some fishtailing, but I don't have the skills to do the J-turn, and I don't think I coulda pulled the spins off nearly as well....

Time to go to driving school.... :-)
