Easy PATS question......

I'm trying to program a (2) new remotes on my 96GT. My instructions say to jump the two pins next to the module in the trunk. How do I *jump* the pins?

Thanks

Marc

To make it easier, wait until they aren't looking and tackle them :-)

What you will do is connect the two pins in the connector together either by touching them together with a screwdriver or a small needle nose pliers (paper clip, car key, etc. just as long as the two pins make connection w/ each other)

Not as long as you stand on one leg facing into the wind :-)

Thanks Tim!

But, although I hate to beat this question......I will anyway :-)

Here goes....

I just looked at the two pin connector. What is see are two plastic pins and a red *tab* that I can snap up and down. Am I supposed to remove something in order to expose the metal pins that I need to jump.

OT: unfortunate for me this is the only thing I'll be jumping for now. My other half moved me out to the doghouse as of this morning.

Thanks

Marc

Its been quite sometime since I programmed one of these and don't have a car handy at the moment (11:30PM) to check this, BUT If the connector has two female connectors use a paperclip or small piece of wire to connect the two wires going into the connector whether it be at the terminals or in the rear of the connector where the wires are. If the connector has male pins in it use anything to make a connection between them.

If you have any problems please feel free to contact me personally. I also have the proceedure for programming in the TECHNICAL section of our website (see below).
