Gasoline Is Not Expensive

The 2 cent difference is likely a gimmick to get more people to buy the 94. For them on a cost basis, that 2 cents difference is probably less than the cost difference between 93 and 94. IIRC, the 93 is a mix of 92% 94 and 8%

87, so the cost difference is negligable. In a month or 2, they'll probably raise the diffence to maybe 5 cents, now that they have more people grabbing for the 94 by habit.

PJ,

The comparision wasn't meant to be taken seriously. It was just a little humor. But if you're still feeling down, here's something that should lift your spirits. Be happy you don't live in Europe. The average price of gasoline in Britain is $5.38 a gallon, a bargain compared with the Netherlands, where it is $5.69 a gallon. In Germany it's $5.01. The French get away with paying $4.78.

Feeling better yet?

But, how often have ANY of us ever seen the pumps/fuel tested? I'll wager that no one who posts here have ever seen one test of a pump or octane rating. My guess would be that except for rare "spot checks" testing only occurs when complaints have been made or they get a tip from an employee or competitor.

Or maybe they are all overpriced.

Gasoline also isn't individually packaged and shelved, nor comes with a fancy twist-off cap.

Yeah, but I still don't mind the current gas prices that much. Driving still beats walking 10,000 miles a year! :D

Damn that's a good argument!

Like the respondent said, not really. If you were so inclined, you could purchase a hybrid, motorcycle, moped, bicycle, whatever...to get you to work. If you didn't heed the warning of the Hubbert curve and bought an enormous vehicle thinking reserves are infinite, that must suck for you...
