Everytime I kick a GMs ass the excuse always contains something about "My good" something or other. "I don't got mah good carburator on here yet" "Yeah, mah GOOD trucks at home". If I lose, well hey, you're faster, big deal. Also apparently you "don't remember seeing" the NMRA. Go see the Pro 5.0 and you'll see cars as fast as and faster than Super Chevy.

Awfully fond of the word "bullshit". Somehow, I feel myself a little more fond of it too now. ;)

A couple reasons I don't want a vette right now. One, insurance is way higher, when I turn 25 next year that will be less of an issue. Two, they are a little more than I want to spend. I am hoping to find something nice in the sub 12,000 range. In the future, you better believe i'll be looking at vette's :) Hopefully a ZR1. Erik D. '94 white lightning

Just because you beat a chevette don't go bragging... If you read the post which evidently you didn't understand it says that my good camaro... meaning out of the 5 that I currently have it's my good one... duh... it says what it has in it. Do I have to tell you what everyone has in or ??? Also been to the 5.0 , have you ever went to a Super Chevy Show ??? if not then how do you know ??? I've been to both and in my opinion Super Chevy was a lot better and faster. P.S. Has your car ever been on a drag strip ?

I crank my 454 to 7,500 on the shifts and many of my small blocks past

8,000. If you don't believe me than go pound sand...

Gee and that would be Ford that can't fix it.... It was under warranty (learned to spell that from Kate ty) was a mechanic virgin... That tell's me that you think Ford sucks because they " can't fix it right the first time " and I thought you liked Ford... Your doing good so far...

Once again... how many people have to add oil to their 5.0 fords ???? almost all it's a trait that they have...

Wow so you beat a Z06

I work for Ford I know enough about the ratings

No not a troll just someone who has to work on Fords and keeps up in the newsgroup. I've been subscribed to this group for a long time. I seen an opening in the group to get all of you's pissed off and boy did it work....

To quote the cop in The Blues Brothers : "If the s*it fits...."

Your quote was that you had to keep working on it all the time, but you didn't the Chevy. YOU did that work according to your post.

That's Corvette. Perhpse you can look up a "Z06".

I did read it, that's how I knew it was just like every other Chevy excuse. How about I wait here while you go home and GET you good carb., truck, car, helmet....

Not according to the numbers. The Pro 5.0 also has stricter rules.

Yes and several dyno's. You posted a troll full of BS, WTF do you expect. So, why aren't you in AAFC....

Very true. But how about taking a Chevy 302 and supercharging it?

4.00" bore x 3.00" stroke make for a nasty high RPM motor that can make substantial amounts of power.

Cool! Maybe some of our sophistication ;-) will re-attach to you while you are back in Cali.

Yes I will always love you, no matter how Country you get. Just don't start chewing tobacco and spitting.

Lets see.... rear seat belt locked up making it unusable... Ford wouldn't fix it I did... (state inspection won't pass without it), water pump leaked... I had to fix it, header cracked at the flange on drivers side... I took it off welded it... fix it.... gee no repeats.... on my repairs... Ford builds it and it falls apart (balencer at 20K) ... You should get the facts before you speak.. by the way I'm a certified mechanic.. actually one of the best in our area... have been asked to work for many garages, but stay where I'm at... ohhhhh well enough about me... Yes I worked on my Chevy's all the time... making them faster and faster... by the way I build engines for a living... have built many Fords and many many Chevy's all still out there running strong... never had one explode yet, but I can say it costs a lot less to build a Chevy then a Ford to make equal HP... been there done that...

So in California they chew tobacco and swallow? Eww!

Only when Im drinking LOL Years ago when I lived in Alaska ... never mind.. you'd never believe it.

I don't WANT any more of that California sophistication. The removal of it was fairly painless, I'm keeping it that way.

Let me tell you a story that seems relevant...

A good friend and a die hard Chevy guy (well maybe not THAT good a friend) bought a new 2000 Camaro SS ($35,000). For the first couple months he owned it, he couldn't shut up about how good it was and how fast it was. Then he was completely silent about it. 6 months later he dumped it at a huge loss. Turns out the thing was so horribly designed and so uncomfortable he couldn't drive it for more than 45 minutes before his back was killing him. Since his job was an hour away he literally couldn't stand driving it. He's still a Chevy guy but now when you ask him about it he just says it was a fast piece of crap (he never says s*it).

There's WAY more to a car than horsepower and torque.
