I might join the darkside!!

Harsh words for the Ford, my man. WIth all due respect, Near the end of the Camaro/Trans Am lives, Mustangs were outselling them 2 to 1.

Alas, with no more competition, I hope Ford doesn't get soft and weaken the "Stang...

Rory

four to one and what words? There aren't any words, what are you replying to??

WF--

I was responding to the original post about he was going to join the dark side and how bad Fords sucked, blah blah blah.

Towards the end of he Camaro/Trans Am existence, for every 1 Camaro/Trans Am GM sold, Ford was selling 2 Mustangs, ensuring Gm's decision to kill them off.

The day I say Fords sucked is going to be the day hell freezes over.

I know, my point was for you to learn to quote what you are replying to....

SAY IT!! I need some free A/C.

Man do I feel dumb. I addressed it to Brent P., who titled the thread. I figured that would ensure who I was responding to...thanks for the eloquent way you 're trying to educate me.

Actually, Erik, some of them do suck (or have sucked). Remember the Festiva? How about the Pinto? But all makers have their own Edsels in their past...

I had a friend in Highschool that had a 79 or 80 Pinto, that was a great car. Very quick and good milage, he ragged the piss out of it, rode hard and put away wet. Never gave up until he wrecked it.

Edsels

I've owned two Pintos, both wagons. The first one was a 4-banger "woody", a car so underpowered that it was even too slow for my mother. Next one was a V6 that had more power, but it only got about

14 mpg.

We owned a Pinto too with a four banger and an automatic transmission. It wouldn't do 60 mph unless it was going downhill. I'm not exaggerating either! It was reliable though.

Ya know, not that it matters.. I had a Chevy that seemed to run forever... but maybe they need to be driven... my grandmother has a early 90's Buick (same thing, different skin) that only has about 30k on it, and it makes all kinds of noises, idles high, etc. My girl's grandfather has a late 90's Chevy truck with about the same amount of mileage on it, and he had the original fuel pump sitting in the bed, the belt squeals like hell, and he's already had to replace the brakes on all four corners.

My '88 Cavalier Z24, on the other hand, had about 130k on it when the water line rusted out and the car overheated... swapped engines with a Celebrity that had 120k on the clock, and then drove until the car (and original transmission) had 160k on it when a full size Ford van got the better hand of a "meeting" (according to the DMV).

The Z28 is a decent car... don't know if you could make me buy one that wasn't an SS/WS6 though... preferrably the latter.

JS

Yeah, I like the SS and the T/A as well. I think the only way i'll get a Z is if it is silver and its a good deal. I am going to mobile tomorrow to check out a black '98 SS. Its all stock, 54,000 miles, all maintenance records, and supposedly in great shape and garage kept. I can't wait to see it but from what the guy was telling me it seems like this may be the one for me. Its just what I am looking for pretty much, a stock LS1, SS, 6-speed, T-tops, leather, all options, etc... Man I am getting anxious to check it out!! I'll let ya'll know tomorrow what I think about it. I've been impressed with the Z/28's i've driven but this will be my first SS. Erik D. '94 white lightning

Actually, Windsor finds it hard to educate even himself on certain subjects....poor thing. So, don't be angry with him about his lack of skill.

Here is a link to some info on why you should quote, and more importantly

*how* to quote with WebTV. It's bad enuff you're using WebTV, but you may as well us it correctly ;)

Later.....

Where is the link...

I do? Hows that? HTF do you get that out of my mentioning to someone they should quote what they are replying to? HTF would you know how well educated I am or not? Do you always talk out of your ass like that? Especially when making personal attacks on me and then you don't even put the link in your post that you were offering to him. Ya know, when you call someone stupid, you oughtta make real sure you don't do anything stupid in the same breath.

C'mon Spike! I thought you were a REAL man!
