October

...and three vehicles need to be inspected...

CFrog passed with flying colors, and is now in the transmission shop. Naturally, the trans is in BAD shape (duh - some twit waited far too long to have it serviced and just kept abusing it, month after month), so it needs a very thorough overhaul. It's also going to have the TransGo shift kit installed - I specified "spirited driving, yet civil in traffic." We'll see...

TFrog failed emissions, but the mechanical problems are all gone. The intake manifold gasket seal was, apparently, the culprit, and TFrog now starts up, runs very well, and is back. (I have to remember to NOT blip the throttle now when I start the car, since it no longer needs help to keep running.)

I have a beautiful new Dynomax Hpipe with high flow catalytic converters sitting in my garage. Overpaid for it, of course, since I was in a hurry, but at least I have it.

Jean's Escape was dropped off last night for inspection, and it took all of about half an hour. Got the call early this morning that it was done - needed nothing. (Whew!)

CFrog should be finished and ready to pick up tomorrow. TFrog goes back in on Monday for the Hpipe and another emissions test. Things are coming together, and it's only the 25th of October. The leaves are changing, the air is becoming crisp - perfect driving weather.

I love it when things come together, but I hate October.

They must be keeping CFrog inside as I looked for it last nite on my way past. Good for them! as the neibor hood behind the shop can be rough sometimes. Dave

Oh, GREAT.

And I got the call at 4:45 this afternoon, the car was done. Too late for me to get all the way out there to pick it up, so it's sitting overnight again. I'll have it at lunchtime tomorrow...

Oooooh, baby.
