Check it going from WOT to idle too. Dropouts on throttle lift can mess up the transmission lockup logic and makes it feel like bad shifting (auto trans).

I've had the best luck, response by setting it to .99 volts, also if you check from idle to WOT and vice versa it should be smooth with no spikes or anything... Some test lights will be dim with the .99 and get brighter and vice cersva if you have the ability to use a Light on it make sure it never blinks and brightens/dims smoothly.

A test light on a sensor circuit.... what an interesting concept. I'd be really surprised to see the PCM allow a high enough current flow to illuminate the test light...... aside from the fact that VREF wont be above

5 volts to start with... I certainly don't have any test lights that will illuminate at less than a volt no matter what the current potential may be.
