I just purchased a replacement rearview mirror with Auto-dimming, Temp, Compass. Anyone know how to safely remove the factory rearview?

Your replacement mirror should mount to the existing plate glued to the windshield. Your stock mirror comes off with a small allen head screw - just loosen that and then slide the mirror up towards the roof and it will slip off the mount that's glued to the windshield. Your replacement will slide back on in reverse. Not sure about the siring, but assume that it's a stock connector hidden in the headliner light box.
