Whats the average price for putting the racing stripes on a 06 GT? Most of the dealers here want at least 2k, just curious what others have seen or been quoted.

Buy a stripe kit and DYI.... or do a lot of shopping around. As long as it doesn't mess with your warrantee, a good custom shop might be cheaper. Quite often, dealers farm things like this out anyway.
Warrantee is important. My TransAM GTA body flexed so much the paint on the hood, trunk lid, and spoiler spider weave, and it was covered by manufacturer's warrantee. It might not have been if I had modified the paint.
But $2k for a decal? Hells bells you can get the stripe painted on for less.
seems excessive to me. It does look great though. I keep seeing yellow GT's with the black stripes and big chrome wheels... looks awesome.
i got stripes done on a 05 salen for 1K
I really like the green, but I have seen 2 of the yellow/black stripe combo.....drool.......It would just be a total cop magnet.
