Took off the rear spoiler 95 GT

Hi Guys,

I just took the wing off of my 95 GT and in my opinion the car looks cleaner (except for the 4 mounting holes on the decklid). Looks pretty sweet with the Cervini's hood/bumper up front, and the back with 3" Bassani tips. OK, so the question is....how can I cover up the 4 holes on the decklid? Any creative ideas will be gladly appreciated. Thanks!

The best thing you can do is what you posted in your other message, find someone who wants to swap. Other than that, you'll need to take it to a body shop to have it repaired properly.

Good Luck!

Carriage bolts. ;^) StuK

Got a wacky idea.... what about molding your own custom body plugs out of tool-dip close to the body color? Or maybe use it to make grommets for the bolts.

The right way of doing it is to weld in some metal in the holes. Then prep it for paint and re-paint the entire lid.

It should not be too expensive in a paint shop...I would not go for the hill billy fix with the carriage bolts...such a nice car with such an ugly fix...

Just 2 cents.

Do the 95 GTs have steel trunk lid? My 01 has a plastic trunk lid.

a giant 3 tier wing would cover it nicely

My 95 had a fiberglass lid, so does my 98.

Negative. The car looks a whole lot cleaner without ANY wing. To the point that wings on SN95s almost seems like a gay idea period. Jason, box up that spoiler before I end up scratching the shit out of it moving around the storage room you slob! :o)

NOS? We don't use p$%sy juice on our cars in this family. All motor to prove that the power adder crowd doesn't know how to build a real motor. hehe I'm just the cocky S.O.B. tonight, aren't I?

Just checked the '97 to make sure, stamped steel all the way. Hood is composite though.

Are you sure Kate? I just checked Pony and although the hood is composite, the trunk lid is steel.
