I have for ford top loader trans.i think from the sixties. I need some help identifing what it is. The numbers are as follows C5AR-7006-D W-1 and

04AR 7A040 A I think these are correct but a little hard to read. If someone knows what these numbers mean please let me know, and also a price for this trans.

Thank-you

one more thing there is a tag on it and reads HEA CL

015840

About all I can tell you is that it is a 4 speed. Maybe came out of a Fairlane.

If your tag reads HEH CL then your trans is from a 1966 Ford Fairlane with

390. This is actually an interesting and slightly odd trans. It has a short Big Block Input shaft, but it is a wide ratio box. Most big block trans have the Close ratio gears. Alas, it is not the 31 spline Big Block trans.

The price depends on the condition. Freshly rebuilt will bring over a grand. Condition unknown maybe 400. Check ebay closed auctions for an idea of the going rates.
