My M reg 1.3 super sport cut out 3 weeks ago for no apparent reason. It would start and run for 5 mins then nothing. Until after 2-3 days nowt at all. The mechanic said it was electrical and called in an auto sparky who tested it and said its "the distributor". The spark was getting there but not coming back out. A second hand one was bought and fitted. The spark now goes in and comes back out but it still wont start. This up till now has cost £60 without parts for the sparky alone. I am now being told that it needs to go on a machine to find the problem. Has anybody had the same problem and if so what can be done. This has been going on for 3 weeks now and i feel like scrapping the shed that it is. It had an immobiliser that was taken out just after it started playing up in case and a clutch was fitted 200 hundred miles ago, 600 miles ago it had a full service.
