1987 nissan pu door lock wont unlock

Remove the door panel & look into the door frame. Check to see if the metal wire rod that connects to the door handle/latch area is still attached to the door lock. If not, then reattach it. Provided the little plastic retaining clip which holds the metal wire to the handle/latch isn't broken, then you should be able to repair it. If the plastic retaining clip is broken, then you might have to take a trip to the stealership & see if you can get the part. If not, then a auto salvage yard might do. Anyhow, hope this helps.. ID
