2000 Pathfinder brake problems

Anyone had any problems with brakes on 2000 SE?

I bought one used and the pedal was pulsating when stopping. I had the rotors cut and I put new OEM pads on. The pulsation is gone. Now, it seems like the caliper piston is not retracting completely when releasing the brake pedal, thus the pads tends to drag-on both front wheels. Because both wheels are doing this I am leaning toward the problem being with the master cylinder or the brake booster rather than both calipers being bad. The truck only has 54K miles on it. Has anyone had this problem and had a successful resolution?

Thanks for the responses ahead of time :-) T. Cary, NC

They are getting very hot...they have cooked the antisqueal compound on the pad shims on both wheels. After putting the pads on I can turn the hub with my hand. Then, I crank the car, and press the brakes to build the pressure back up and get out of the car, I can no longer turn the hub until I pry the pads off of the disc. This is happening on both sides.

try cracking the caliper bleed screws after you build up pressure to see if th ehub loosens up. if the hub begins to spin, the brake hoses may be bad.
