2002 sentra stalls

My 2002 nissan sentra stalls when I'm waiting at a light, or if I gun the gas in park an let it idle down. It also sputters a little when I accellerate.

I've read that there are three type of sensors that can cause this problem. The crank position, the camshaft position, and the variable timing control sensors.

Can any tell me which it could be or the most common one that has failed and caused this problem.

No "check engine" light? You might want to run a bottle of techron through it. Shot-gunning parts is never the answer.

You really need to do some diagnosis. It may not be a sensor at all. Do you use a good fuel system cleaner (e.g. BG44K) regularly? Has the idle air control valve ever been cleaned? Has the throttle body ever been cleaned? All are possible causes. A scan tool and a vacuum gauge would go a long way to diagnosing the problem. You're guessing otherwise. Good luck. Al
