Hello,
I have a 2003 Sentra GXE. Twice, after I returned from a 4 or 5 day trip, during which time the car was not used, the ignition did not start (I had to press the brakes and turn the wheel to get it to start).
To be more specific, the ignition started when I first used the car immediately after the trip. However, soon afterwards, it failed.
What is causing this? Is it some type of "anti-theft" software programmed to assume that the car has been stolen after a
5 or so day period in which it was not used?I do not think that it is a mechanical issue, or an issue with the quality of the key. Most of the time, there are no problems starting the ignition.
Also, it does not seem to be a weather related issue; When the car did not start the weather was mild.
