91 Nissan Sentra Control Arm Removal

Dec 20, 2004 4 Replies

Hi I'm trying to replace my outer CV Boots and I have the Hayes repair manual. I'm having trouble removing the control arm from the steering knuckle. I have a picklefork and been hammering away trying to wedge it off but it still hasn't slipped out. Is this normal. I'm going to spray some brake parts cleaner and see what happens.

I have already destroyed the dust boot.

Any help would be appreciated

No this is not a joke-

Use a bigger hammer.

Thanks guys for your suggestions, I'll give them a try tonight. I'm thinking of stopping by harbor freight and picking up some seperators.

Hey it worked, all I needed was a BFH... haha, thanks and Merry Christmas!
