'92 Sentra-still going.

Well, I got the registration renewal a few weeks ago for the Sentra. Gonna cost me about $80.00 for two years. I haven't had the chance to crawl under and see what the noises I posted about were. Decided the best thing to do would be to wait until Sept and get it inspected a month early. Would give me two months to fix stuff if it needed it, and if the frighteningly large chunk of the frame that fell off over the summer was enough to prevent it from passing inspection, I wouldn't have time and money tied up in the car.

I got it from a friend who drove it into the ground, in '07, and put a moderate amount of work into it that summer. A few minor issues in the years since, but I don't drive it much, just short hops around town. It's always made it home, anyhow .

Well, it passed inspection with no problems, so I guess I'll be driving it for another year or two. I think by that time it will be too rusty to drive. But, 18 years in the rust belt, and 177,445 miles at inspection today is not too shabby. A/C still works, and it gets 25/35 MPG depending on what type of driving I do with it.
