Hmm what kind of car/truck? Either is a blower resistor or amplifier..
The blower switch on my car goes to a resistor network on all settings except high (high goes directly through through the switch). I am not sure where that unit would be located, but electrically it is between the fan switch and blower fan - it must be located in that general vicinity.
This network contains a fuse or fusible link, according to my schematic - that fuse may be blown on your car. It shows this fuse to be an integral part of this network, so hopefully they designed it such that it can be replaced.

These are always located in the airstream on the blower housing.
The switch is set on high?? LOL
