Sentra Frame

Jul 03, 2007 1 Replies

I've got a '93 Sentra, I went to jack it up to do some work and when I did the bottom of the frame in the back collapsed. I've been looking for other Nissan models with similar frames I could cut to replace it but I haven't been able to find any, how could i go about repairing it without a new piece?

thanks

Where has the "collapse" occurred? I have some rust in the right frame rail at the highest point in the right wheel well. When jacking up the rear by placing the jack under the rear axle, there's little stress in either frame rail. I've assumed that the unibody will compensate for some frame rail weakness. So I'm not sure just what has failed on yours. It is possible to strengthen frame rails but if the body is buckled, it may not be feasible. Al
