Whenever the car is turned without the accelerator pressed, the car dies. What the hell is up.

Power steering pressure sensor failure. When you turn you cause the Power Steering Pump to do a little work which in turn puts a load on the engine, so this little sensor will instruct the computer to rev the engine slightly. If the sensor fails, then the engine computer never knows when to rev the engine and the engine will stall from the load.
