Car not idling properly..

Hello!! I am having trouble with my car. It is not idling properly. It dies at stop signs and lights. Does anyone know the reason and possible solution? How much that should cost me?

Could be a thousand different things on another thousand different cars. What sort of car is it? (make, model, transmission, year, etc).
