1992 Maxima - Internal Heating Fan

Heya folks ... My mother was just out driving and for some reason, the interior heater fan just started up at full blast ... I've tried changing all of the settings and even turning off the heater, but to no avail. The fan is on full tilt boogie.

My only idea was to check/pull the fuses. There's 2 15A fuses associated with the fan in the panel. I pulled one, but the fan kept going, I pulled the second one and the fan stopped, but when I plug either of the two in, the fan comes back on, even with the heater shut off. It's only off with both out.

If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it without paying the Dealer a limb to fix it, I would appreciate a helping hand. Pun intended. ;)

I would try checking chaffing on the wires.
