My question: Is it possible to add power steering to a 205? Mine is from january 1997. As far as I know there is no 205 with power steering but correct me if I am wrong.

Some diesels and GTis had power steering. Which engine does your 205 have?
My 205 has a 1.4i. I already found out that some late models had powersteering but it seems to be quite expensive... peter
Not too familiar with such a late model 1.4, but if they did come with power steering your best bet would be to try and find one at a scrappie and grap the PAS bits off it (Pump, pipes, resevoir, rack) and retro-fit them to yours. But TBH that seems a big job for not much gain!

Ik ben zelf op dit moment bezig om stuurbekrachtiging (stb) in te bouwen. Ik had het geluk dat ik een elektrische stb pomp tegen kwam. Deze zijn erg schaars omdat ze alleen op de allerlaatste 205jes gebouwd zijn. De sloper waar ik hem af heb is uit 1998. Deze elektrische stb pomp kun je op elke
205 bouwen. Ook is er een mechanische pomp die aangedreven wordt door een v-snaartje. Omdat op mijn blok geen ruimte meer is, ga ik voor de elektrische variant. De mechanische is volgens mij alleen mogelijk opp XU blokken, zoals de gti en in mijn geval de (turbo)diesels. Dus als je een elektrische pomp kunt vinden is het mogelijk. Je moet dan uiteraard ook een ander stuurhuis hebben.Succes ermee.
