Hello,

Here is a good place to ask, there are some 205 specialists down here, what type / year ?

Hello,

OK then.

Important error ! The 205 is (and I may include latest models, 96-98) : - outdated ; - badly equiped (no useless gadget) ; Indeed, if you take a 96- model (Generation here), you've got as standard (some equipments may have been available earlier as standard for some export destinations) : power steering, velvet semi-sport seats, front electric windows, side indicators on front wings (that was, before, an export-specific feature), closing / locking glovebox and central locking (with IR remote). What would you need else ?

but is... - reliable as hell. If only one car could run in the next 25 years, it would be a 205 ; - cheap to run ; - light (not more than 925kg) ; - damn fun, excellent handling ; - a running legend. But a legend that runs forever.

Preferentially take a post-'88 model to benefit of galvanized steel, and even a post-90 for improved lights. For Diesels, post-90 will do fine, post-93 brings a better priming pump & filter housing (4 BTRs to swap it, 10 mins easy job, try to compare with former models), and a low-pollution engine (XUD7/L and XUD7T/L for turbos).

Feel free to post again if you have more questions. My guess is, once you drove a Pug you don't want any other brand.
