My immobiliser doesn't like to work. I've tried both my plip keys. The lights on the plips come on fine, but it's really hit and miss with anything happening. I have to aim from different points outside the car. I did wonder if I can remove the immobiliser and retro fit an alternative.

I'm sure pug will supply them but IIRC people in this NG has written of prices around £60 each!!!!!!
The codes are hardwired in each key and car and these have to set to match. I don't know whether the dealers do the coding or the correct key code has to be ordered to match the car.
