My van was parked outside the house last night and some little **** decided that he would kick and smash my side mirror and then walk over the top of the van, this would not have been quite so bad as to the fact that I only replaced the side mirror 2 weeks ago after some little **** kicked it and smashed it before. The next one will now have a line of razor blades glued to it.(inner edge so no one can accidentally injure themselves by walking into it) At least I can then follow the bloody trail. I have now ordered £400 worth of camera equipment to catch this turd. The police crime investigator has a very nice left and right shoe print. If I catch them they can have a face print as they bounce off my windscreen.

Well the bus park at New Haw had 50+ bus windows broken two nights ago, £5.5k of damage. By comparison (only) you came off lightly. But it is true, there is no respect for other's property these days. I blame Tony Blair. Well someone has to.

I think you are correct Brian, not sure its just Tony's fault ( can't believe I just said that), I think its down to the complete government and the namby pamby punishments (if any at all) for crimes committed (unless you happen to be speeding) and the fact that governments like to hide true figures and the actually cost to the general public for these mindless crimes. You almost have to grovel to get a crime number from the police these days, if you don't get a number it stays off the crime figure books . Oh god I'm upon my soap box mode.

Crime figures may be down for minor incidents, but I believe this is because most people can't be bothered to report them any more, as they know nothing will be done. I still have the nice key scratch down the side of my car, but that was not reported.

Sounds to me like the French have the right idea again, I wonder how much that would change things over here if we had the same system. GGJ

You should call 101 if it's set up in your area.

Everything that happens around here (just outside Portsmouth, UK) gets reported and things have actually started happening with regards to extra police patrols etc.
