Some one asked the same question about a 405 keypad recently. If it is like mine with "C" and "S" keys then you have the option of having a temp service "S" code.

I assume that the system will be the same - check with Peugeot to make sure.

To change your (customer) code

1) enter your present code 2) press the "C" key 3) enter new 4 digit code 4) press the "C" key 5) keypad will flash and beep 4 times

this is now your permanent code - do not forget it.

To have a temp code then the above process is repeated but substitute the "C" code press with "S". This temp code is useful if you put your car into the garage. It can be used until your permanent code is input.(it means that

2 codes are held in memory until your permanent code is input) The system then reverts to your permanent code and the service code is overwritten.

Easy to carry out. If you find that this procedure will not work then you may have been given an "S" code and it can not be changed.. Lucus (LSUK) can maybe help as they can default the code to the factory setting. Not sure if they can do all Peugeot systems but as far as I know they are ok with diesels that have the lucus diesel injector pump. A lot cheaper than having a new ecu fitted.
