Hi,

Not common needs for a 11yo boy :-)

I'm gonna give a try : they first started studying a Diesel-powered car in

1935 (based on the 402B) but the development has been stopped by the WW2. After the war they had to cope with other problems than Diesel engines on cars, hence their late release : 403 D, XD86 engine, 1816cc and 48HP, year 1959.

Oh, and no matter what Mercedes hams say : Pug has released the first automotive turbo-Diesel engine in 1979 (even if it was reserved for export to the US, which is pretty strange).

Peugeot placed istelf on the map in Australia in 1953 when a 203 won the first round-Australia reliability trial.

Hi,

Oh yeah, and won the Safari (Kenyan rally) 4 times between 1964 and 1968 with the 404. Later did it again with the 504 Coupé.
