I'd prefer them wired as driving lights. I'm guessing the actual lights/bulbs can be used either way? They were fitted to the car when I bought it, so I don't know what they were bought as.

Yes, there is a fog lights switch on the centre console, as Stuart assumes - they will be fog lamps. I'll go with that and wire them up to the fog lamps switch.
