Apr 22, 2004 6 Replies
1977 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. Original engine & interior, 4 speed automatic transmission, and boast a 325 V-8 Pontiac engine. This vehicle has not had any accidents or serious breakdowns in all its time. Now the car has been semi-restored. The entire car operates and runs very well. There are places of small rust spots, but are only surface-damaged. There is one or two small spots of rust that is threw the metal, but only in non-noticeable and thin places of the car, which can be easily repaired. The car passes Virginia State inspection. The amenities of the car include stereo, A-track, A/C. With only a few cosmetic touchups, you would have a magnificent classic. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the most elusive and collectable car, with a very easy restoration.

Since when is an Espirit "one of the most elusive and collectible" firebirds?

And since when did Pontiac make a 325 cu in and 4-speed auto trans in

1977. Pontiac had a 326 but that was last used in 1967.

Well, it is the rare 325 cid 4-speed automatic model. Is that a 7-cylinder engine? When have you ever seen one of those? I could kick myself, here we are making a thread out of spam..... Sorry everybody.

I like how the rust holes are only in "thin spots".

Joe, if you overlook the rust holes, the car is in perfect shape! Oh, and the 325 wasn't the c.i.d., it was the variable-displacement V3-2-5 Esprit engine that worked on the same principal as the Cadillac V8-6-4 variable-displacement engine of the early '80's. ;-)
